got her from mercari because i had $25 credit from selling some doll wigs. as with all doll lines, once i get one (see previous entry) i need to get her a girlfriend. i wanted a bratz that was very different in vibe from my meygan, and this jade is perfect for that. love the casual punk + kinda chola style - very quintessential bratz to me.

found her on ebay and was so drawn to her dramatic makeup and outfit, especially the autumnal colour scheme. i looove her 70s by way of the 90s by way of 2002 style; it's very nostalgic. i love all the pieces of her outfits but the brown/yellow/orange boots are definitely my favourite. i've had many bratz since 2003 but somehow only learned in 2024 that their knees bend!

saw these in a darling dolls video and thought she was so cute, plus i wanted to make the lipgloss lol. she looks like a baby version of michelle st. charles. weirdly, her fuzzy coat + outfit is all one piece, kind of like the rubber polly pocket clothes. the lipgloss is pretty much just a straight lip oil, the greasy kind; it's for display only after one try. but it smells good!

this was my dissertation defense present to myself!! i'm a huge man from u.n.c.l.e. fan, i love '60s fashion (especially mod), and i've always wanted a poppy. i found her on ebay still in box for a decent price - it was a two pack and the other doll had already been removed, but the important part was that the little yellow gun was still there (along with all of tina's stuff). the accessories are so impressive, and her face/hand sculpts are so pretty and delicate. i'd love to get more from the i.n.t.e.g.r.i.t.y. lines some day.

on one hand, our stores don't get every release or when they do, it's way late. on the other hand, once we do get them, they don't really sell out - or at least not quickly. and so at a certain point i figured i would just buy victoria. she's pretty! my pet peeve is black eyeliner + not-black eyelashes, so i wish her eyeliner was brown, but otherwise she's pretty. naturally i immediately fried the fuck out of her hair trying to wash all the gunk out, so i gave her a hair cut. it's way shorter than i meant and not particularly well done... but it looks fine from the front.

two things i love: 1) orange; 2) retro-futurism. she's the best concept for a rainbow high, which is why she's the first non-shadow high i got. it took me a while to pick one out though because all the ones at my stores had really whack face screenings.

loved her colour scheme and space-themed outfit so i had to have her. i think i ordered her on amazon because new dolls barely show up at my store. somehow, my first two rainbow highs' hair was perfectly fine. zooey's sucks though. i tried to wash it but it's still all frizzy and weird at the ends, she needs a trim. but she has a tiny iphone!

don't tell nicole but lola was the rainbow high (okay, shadow high) doll that tipped me over the edge to get one. she has hands down the best looking face of any RH doll if you ask me - and the face/hair/outfit combination is exquisite. she didn't show up in my stores for a while though, so i kept look every time we went to get groceries. (my spouse and i described this as, "looking for that little pink bitch.") she's still my favourite by far.

my first rainbow high! i got interested in them from watching darling dolls' videos on youtube. i picked her up because her sports goth-type outfits were really unique, and i like the shadow high fantasy skintones a lot. (i also got overwhelmed by all the rainbow high options at walmart, which meant i passed over sets that i won't name because they're now extremely sought after and expensive secondhand... augh.)

pretty much the same story as the previous - but now they have each other at least! she's super cute and that's about it. i can't praise the 24cm obitsu body enough though - it poses so well and can even balance really precariously on its own. the hand options are also really fun.

okay, not a fashion doll really, but not a bjd or pullip either, so bare with me on these first two. i ordered her after getting fixated on the idea of a small, very poseable, customizable doll that i could take with me places. that never ended up happening to be honest. she's really cute! getting nice quality pieces for this scale was where i got stuck; her wig/eyes/clothes are from aliexpress to be honest. i tried to buy better wigs but ordered the wrong size... now she just hangs out looking cute on my bookshelf.
